Lifestyle Hikers — Assumption of Risk and Release

I understand that hiking in Jamaica involves real risks. These include uneven and slippery ground, river crossings, falling rocks, sudden weather changes, heat, dehydration, insects and animals, and remote terrain where medical help may be delayed or difficult to reach.

I confirm that I am participating voluntarily and that I am in adequate health for the hike I have chosen. I will tell the guides about any medical condition, injury, allergy, or medication that could affect my safety or theirs.

I agree to follow the reasonable instructions of Lifestyle Hikers guides, to stay with the group, and to bring the water, footwear, and equipment advised for the route. I understand that guides may ask me to turn back if conditions or my condition make continuing unsafe.

I accept responsibility for my own belongings, and I understand that transport, meeting points, and timings may change for safety reasons.

I release Lifestyle Hikers, its guides, and its volunteers from liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from the ordinary risks of hiking, except where caused by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in this waiver limits any right I have under Jamaican law.

I confirm the emergency contact details I have given are correct, and I agree that Lifestyle Hikers may contact that person on my behalf in an emergency.

I have read and understood this waiver and accept it for myself and, where I am booking for others, on their behalf with their knowledge.
