Hike with people who know the way
Safety & leaders.
Since 2019 we've led more than 200 group hikes across Jamaica. Here's who leads them, how we look after the group, and what we ask of you.

How we hike
- Every hike has a level. We rate each outing from 1 to 10 so you can pick one that suits you. See the scale →
- The details are published up front. Meeting point, departure time, level and any cost are on the hike page before you commit.
- It's a hike, not a race. We move at the group's pace, regroup at breaks and keep an eye out for anyone who's struggling.
- Our leaders know the trails. We hike these routes again and again, and each trail page shows when our crew was last there.
Weather calls
Rain changes Jamaican trails fast: rivers rise, rocks get slippery and mountain roads can wash out. We watch the forecast before every hike. If conditions make a route unsafe, we'll change the plan or postpone, and post the update in the members' group and on the hike page.
Your part
- Pick a level you're comfortable with, and tell a leader if it's your first hike with us.
- Bring plenty of water, food, rain protection and shoes with good grip. Packing checklist →
- If you have a health condition or allergy that matters on the trail, tell a leader in person at the meeting point. Please don't put medical details in online forms.
- Stay with the group, and tell someone before stepping off the trail.
- Only swim where the leaders say it's safe, and never alone.
- Carry your rubbish home.
In an emergency
Tell the nearest leader straight away. In Jamaica, call 119 for police or 110 for fire and ambulance.
