About this hike
Discover a side of Hellshire far beyond the famous beaches and fried fish. This dynamic trek took us deep into the rugged limestone hills of southern Portmore — a historic landscape shaped by Taino heritage, Spanish haciendas, and the resilient Maroons who navigated its caves and dense terrain for secrecy and freedom.
